Yearling filly in NY

Postby Tbird » Mon May 25, 2009 12:23 pm

Good afternoon and happy Memorial Day to all.
I'm new here and have been enjoying reading all of the very interesting and informative posts.
It's been brought to my attention by a young man with whom I correspond that there is a sweet little bay yearling Tb who has been abandoned at a boarding facility in NY, Duchess County, I believe. The young man is very concerned because this baby is slated to be consigned to an auction if a place cannot be found for her by the 29th. I am in Missouri or I would take her in.
The filly has an issue with contracted tendons it should be noted.
If anyone here can help or has any ideas, contact Matthew at [email protected]< He has pictures and all the details.
BTW, I was curious.....do horse rescues ever do the "relay" thing like dog people do? What I was thinking was that perhaps she could be kept in a foster home until such a relay could be organized.
Thanks for listening and I'm looking forward to taking part in these forums and this wonderful site.
