Is this correct? My friend just got a grey mare from a neglect case. The vet says she looks 12-14, but if this is correct the vet is a little off. She paid for the tattoo look up to find out who she really is.

Yes. With better care maybe she'll soon look closer to 9 than 14.

The mares name is Steam Set. She made $29000 in 25 starts 2-5-3. I think I am pretty close on the numbers that were passed on to me. She is pretty thin, and a little sore. She was taken from a farm, then sent to a foster home where she was just on pasture. And being on pasture alone she gained some weight and still has the table top back. She now has a stall and lots of hay. Hopefully they can get her sound and some weight on this poor gal.
