I've been to Keeneland for an extended visit, and have received a considerable help from Cathy and Phyllis by mail. They have limits in capability time-wise, and I wouldn't consider asking them for something with a scope this wide.
I've pretty much concluded that old records are pretty reliable, but that any particular one - even for a famous TB - might be off base. I'm focusing on particular things that I'm doing, and posting some of my findings here. I decline to make definitive determinations or declarations by myself without additional research that is difficult to do from afar. It would take a dedicated (obsessed ) someone with better access in order to sort out the old errors on a more comprehensive basis.
Once the KD Museum has settled down, I probably will send them my discoveries pertaining to the KD participants only and leave it up to them.
