I've tried tracking my mare, Bold Actress's (by Bold Spangle) papers back from the breeder to the people we purchased her from with no luck.
There are a couple people missing in the middle that I can not find out who they were. She is lip tattooed which makes things somewhat easier. At least I have her name and REAL age now.
ANY suggestions? This is pretty frustrating.

What else can I do to get mare's papers

This is the link for the jockey club's website. They should be able to help you get her papers.

I have dealt with my share of missing papers... first, since your mare is tattooed and that is, itself, proof of registration, why do you need her papers? They are not required to breed her to a reg'd TB because you know her name... so since they DNA the foal you don't need papers...
Notwithstanding that, I understand there is some significance attached. I once turned up a set of a mare's papers by calling the racing office where she had most recently run, giving the trainer's name, and sure enough, they were in a file there. I had the trainer call and release them to a transport driver I knew who was at that track, he brought them back to KY and I got them from his house.
Duplicate set can be issued by the JC, the fee is $150 (which is the easy part) you have to have a signed, notarized affidavit from the person who lost the papers stating how they were lost (the hard part). Good luck.

Thank you
I've went rounds with the JC, so I'll try the last trainer if I can track him/her.
Thank you both so much for the tips.
The main reason I want her papers was for the registration number, had NO idea its the tattoo...LIVE and LEARN!
I need the # for registering foals out of her who aren't by my approved Warmblood stallion. And since I want to breed her this year to a Welsh stallion, I need a number from her side to take baby through the pony inspections.
I really appreciate the help!
