Other than her color, as well as her sire and dam's, I couldn't add a thing to La Fere's pedigree. The db here has same info as the BRZ SB, although the latter shows Turqueza as (GB).

Ceres still shows as family 2h, but I'll be danged if I can 'connect the dots'. Feh.

Since her tf was apparently never complete, maybe that's an artifact from a previous Ceres(?).

As for Derby, I've no idea...the only resource I have that reaches into the 1860's is Hogan's, and he's not in the sire index there.

Dash it all, I need more studbooks.

FYI: I have another Derby child for you whom I've added. He's "Dundreary" 1873, also out of Ringlet. Looks more and more like he really is a real stallion.

Thanks, it's fixed & re-locked.

Is BSB online someplace? Or do you just happen to have one lying around?

 Yeah, right, like I can afford geographic diversity in stud books...

It's online - this is the English page-

In regard to the mysterious Derby, it's *possible* that this was Darby, aka:Argent, 1850chh x *Glencoe - Picayune x Medoc. I don't have any of his progeny in the db yet, but he was in Texas in the late 1850s (earliest dated foal 1857). I can't place him there with certainty after the war. He's in the db as Darby4.
