American families 13 and 18

Per Bloodlines.net.... http://www.bloodlines.net/TB/Families/A ... ilyA18.htm

Randolph of Chatsworth's Mare is the founder of American Family THIRTEEN, not 18. I would suggest her "pedigree" here be changed to reflect a 13 and not an 18.

The EIGHTEEN belongs to her daughter, Tryal Mare. My suggestion here is that there be 2 Tryal Mares (same horse) - 1 to use for offspring that indicates she is the founder of A18, and another to reflect she is the daughter of the RofC's Mare and hence herself part of A13; each could refer 1 to the other DB entry.

(Is there a way to lock a horse from getting offspring? This would be 1 solution to such problems where 2 or more entries are really the same exact horse, but just 1 should be used to show offspring so mass confusion doesn't reign.)

Byrd's then Randolph of Chatsworth's imported mare is the primary tap of both families. Their taps as shown in the db appear to reflect the standard American family nomenclature which designated Fluvia (aka: Meade's Mare, Meade's Celer Mare) as the tap of A13, and a *Tryall mare as the tap of A18. It appropriately (imho) reflects the fact that A13 is now recognized as a branch of A18, which was unacknowledged when the nomenclature was first established. (It's unknown whether the Randolph of Chatsworth mare had more than one filly by *Tryal.)
