Joan is called out as BAY by Bloodlines.net, and if you see her parents, there is no way she could be roan/gray (neither is gray). She has no gray children to lend evidence to it, either.

Actually she had a dau. (Columbine 1778 or 1781 x Eclipse), dam, and full sister recorded in some sources as "roan", and elsewhere at Bloodlines (family tables within the navigator section) Joan2's color is given as gr, perhaps b/c the roaning gene doesn't exist in the TB & most individuals recorded as such were actually gr. Just a guess, but I'd say there may be conflicting rcds. as to her color.

It would be nice then, if that info was available to those looking at this DB!
