JOAN is not roan

Postby the Ol'Line Rebel » Mon Jul 02, 2007 6:57 am

http://www.pedigreequery.com/joan2

Joan is called out as BAY by Bloodlines.net, and if you see her parents, there is no way she could be roan/gray (neither is gray). She has no gray children to lend evidence to it, either.

Again, this is locked so need someone to change it, please.

Actually she had a dau. (Columbine 1778 or 1781 x Eclipse), dam, and full sister recorded in some sources as "roan", and elsewhere at Bloodlines (family tables within the navigator section) Joan2's color is given as gr, perhaps b/c the roaning gene doesn't exist in the TB & most individuals recorded as such were actually gr. Just a guess, but I'd say there may be conflicting rcds. as to her color.

It would be nice then, if that info was available to those looking at this DB!

Thanks for the info. I'm just getting really steamed at the whole "locked-up" thing!
