Can someone look into the horse here called DON DE ORO?
I found him in old papers as Don d'Oro, which makes more sense, anyway. Both in language form, and his sire being Rayon d'Or.
I'm thinking his name needs to be corrected. I don't want to do the brute-force method of creating a new entry, copying all the info, transferring all the offspring, then deleting all info and deleting the 1st name.
Assuming the "de oro" is indeed bogus.

Don De Oro is correct according to the stallion index of ASB v.XI, as well as the American Racing Manual's stakes histories. Old papers, alas, are notoriously unreliable when it comes to spelling, and racehorse namers (old and new) are notoriously unreliable when it comes to making sense.
In such cases, it is recommended to put a note in the comments that some racing publications spelled the name Don D'Oro.
