EURASIAN (by Swaps) is marked as a G1 winner, but he is not.

I tried to fix it myself but was not allowed to make changes.

There is no Foxy Foxet but the two foals previously under Foxy JG have been moved under Foxy J G and the entries for Foxy JG and Miss JG have been removed.

Colt, Horse, Filly, Mare

Postby sarahsull21 » Tue Mar 04, 2014 11:16 am

Because so many of the better horses are locked, frequently their status as Horse, Gelding, Mare is not made. I was just looking at Old Fashioned as an example, also Prayer For Relief. For the database to be as accurate as possible, these changes should be made as the horses age, particularly if they go on to sire progeny.

The gender field has been reset to 'horse' for Old Fashioned and Prayer For Relief. I'll be glad to make any other such changes to electively or auto-locked entries if you want to post additional names here.

Under the current set of 5 gender options (colt, filly, gelding, horse, mare) the only way to effect a substantial improvement in age-related gender accuracy would be to institute an automated reset for entries still set as colt or filly that have reached the age and have verified progeny attached. Alternatively, the gender options could be reduced to three - male, female, and gelding.

If you have suggestions re. this matter you'd like to share with a site owner, you might want to post to the Advice for a better site thread over in the 'Pedigree Side' section.

Pedigree Error

Postby sarahsull21 » Tue Mar 18, 2014 6:54 am

Please correct pedigree of VINTAGE ESCAPE. She is out of Overstay(Ire) b 1986 and Be My Guest. OVERSTAY is out of OVERPLAY(Ire) 1978 out of Bustino & Melodramatic.

Also, I am unable to add any more entries with the name HARMONIC.
