what is this? Help please!

Hi. I've been having problems with my screen. Has a split screen with the following on the bottom screen:

When I click to the new messages screen I can read one subject and then when I hit "back" the top half of the screen says No New topics and the bottom screen has these characters. Can you help me identify and rid my screen of this?

They've been there for month. Some goofy script thing. No clue .. something Miles did and he's been a ghost for months now.
