No really BJ, my friends and I, one who writes on here and one who just reads would love to know what Graded Stakes horse or how many Stakes winners Michael has produced? He loves to give much advise, yet has had little success...yet when some one else gives good advise he attacks them? Or it is just because I wrote it and no other reason?

It does matter who starts it, it's called trolling and trolling shouldn't be allowed, but it is. So if you don't like it don't read it or better yet don't go to any threads that Michael and Sam are on...and you will surely avoid reading anything unpleasant.

If he can dish it out he can surely take it, no?

Hi Maureen,

Who Cares Girl and her family are blue collar types that rarely run at 2, sprint and route but who had limited chance and success on grass. I think she has merit as a breed to race broodmare candidate.

I'm curious why you've selected Gone Fishin who was a dedicated turf runner?

Regards,

Pete

Pete-I refuse to race horses at 2, so the lack of starters of that age does not bother me.

My partner in this mare, if we acquire her, has connections to Gone Fishin. We are specifically looking for mares to breed to him, nobody else. As for the turf thing, with the Polytrack at Woodbine now, we feel that Gone Fishin babies will probably have just as much of a chance as strictly dirt horses.

To all that have offered up your suggestions, I thank you, but can we please get back to the question at hand. I never intended this to become a mud-slinging topic, and would appreciate it if sensible heads will please prevail.

BUT I find that ALL people who just post to "get at" another poster(whether they started it, or find it a challenge and an amusement to respond, or simply feel the NEED to defend themselves against someone else's lack of self-control and decency) are truly lacking in anything worthwhile at the moment in time they are doing such things.

At that moment in time...during that behavior...nothing they have done positive means anything...because they are sinking to such idiotic, immature and WORTHLESS behavior...but I guess these individuals prefer to be KNOWN for that, instead of their more quality contributions to life and this industry.

This place has become a gang banger's version of ROMPER ROOM! Pathetic! What a pitiful waste of time and energy! :?

Who here is going to be strong enough to put an end to this nonsense and simply STOP?

Hi Maureen,

The lack of 2yo racing in the family of Who Cares Girl hurts her commercial appeal and makes her less able to help prove a stallion but if your goal is to breed runners and you're set on Gone Fishin then I 'see' where you're going. The only advice I'd make given your comments is to not duplicate conformational flaws.

I understand your sentiment about not racing horses at 2 years of age but I'd submit that it's all about the horse. I'm a firm believer that unsoundness starts with use but some horses are meant to run as juveniles, like Favorite Trick.

Good luck.

And some how YOU do not fit in the same catagory
How selective you are to only post this when I write and no one else that goes back and forth. My posts are nothing compared to some others

And there are lots of us in normal houses who would like to look out the windows every once in a while without ducking....so if you're going to fight can you please PM each other? Thank you.

I'm brand new here, I don't know any of you and I have absolutely no axe to grind.

I'd like to second what Toccet02 said.

Gone fishin started as a 2 year old 3 times and had 60 overall starts. So as far as longevity goes, you can't get much better. His conformation is excellent, very solidly built, with tons of bone, 16.2+ hands with great feet. So I wouldn't say when bred to this mare you wouldn't get a 2 year old runner. I think it is all individual. The problem is trying to find commercial mares out there. The good ones nobody wants to get rid of and if so are so very expensive at the sales. Did you purchase this mare Maureen? I heard that Gone Fishin's book is almost full so you better get on it!!

Ended up getting a mare named Aidensfield, and she will be paying a visit to Gone Fishin this week!
