Its the time of the year to plan matings again. After going the commercial route in recent seasons Ive decided that I want to be old fashioned and breed a racehorse as opposed to a sales prospect. So Im looking for advce on proven stallions (not the top end of the price range as the budget does not stretch that far!) as opposed to commercially attractive first season or unproven stallions. Therefore, Id appreciate comments or suggestions from members on the following three mares:
Sheboygan (Grand Lodge ex White Satin)
Silk Suivante (Danehill ex White Satin)
White Satin (Fairy King ex Canton Lightening)
Opinions / Advice Please

Okay, I'm going on the assumption that you are in either the UK or Ireland, and making suggestions accordingly.
On paper I REALLY like Domedriver with Silk Suivante (Indian Ridge-Blushing Groom-Danehill).
At the same stud, With Approval (CAN) is a wonderful source of sound, consistent, quality runners. At GBP 7500 he is well priced.

My mares are based in Ireland so ideally Im looking for Irish or UK based stallions. At present, I am considering the following Fasilev, Orpen, Key of Luck. Fasilev has done well with Fairy King mares and also with Danehill mares so I was looking to him for Silk Suivante. Orpen has already had a stakes horse from the family (Sweet Treat) so I was considering him for White Satin. Alternatively, Key of luck may do well with White Satin (Chiefs Crown/ Grand Lodge line produced Sheboygan). But Im still a little unsure as to what may be suitable foe Sheboygan.

-- Sheboygan --
Grand Lodge produced well in matings with daughters of Shirley Heights and with daughters of Sadler's Wells.
May we hope that a daughter of Grand Lodge will produce well with a son of these stallions?
My first advice is for Zindabad, son and grandson of these two stallions.
A second option is for the nearly forgotten Saddler's Hall

Is Tiraaz still active? Why not? He isn't commercial at all, is he?
