Suggestions for an Eastern Echo mare-please

Postby shanova » Wed Jan 02, 2008 9:25 am

I have an Eastern Echo mare whom has had one foal X Tiger Ridge, is currently in foal to Kela and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what/whom would be better for this year.

Eastern Echo loved Northern Dancer in his mares. I notice your filly has ND from Nijinsky, but also has full brothers Graustark and His Majesty. Dixieland Band has worked very well with either of these brothers. Some examples with this cross I can think of off of the top of my head are Urbane, Cherokee's Boy, Bowman's Band, Monarchos, and Street Sense. I would look for Dixieland Band without Graustark and His Majesty in the stallion.

Shanova..keeping in line with what Cathy D said I love Dixieland Band with your mare. We are standing a new stallion this year named Inklet who is by Dixieland Band and is a 1/2 brother to Invisible Ink. If you PM me, I would love to share pictures of him

E Dubai

E Dubai seems to love Damascus line mares. Several of his best have been from Gilded Time, Timeless Moment, Private Account etc. I saw one foal from Eastern Echo (Ekberg 2005) that may still race.

I think Pioneering is a very good choice for your mare.

Never Bend line

Maybe something with Never Bend prominent? The best SW (Full out) close up was an son of NB.
