This mare has been offered to me as a broodmare prospect after the 08 season...would you breed her and to whom? Thanks!

Her dam has a 07 Pleasant Tap and an 05 by K One King ready to break his maiden at Canterbury.
Would you buy her?

I wouldnt touch her. Where does a horse have 2 wins and 2 seconds and only make $9,000?? Her speed ratings are extremely low; her dam was a below average runner with no black type. Closest black type is a stakes placed horse in the 3rd generation, which is the 4th generation on the foal; absolutely nothing to recommend bringing more foals into a market which is giving horses away as it is.

Hi
I agree that there isn't much to recommend regarding the recent quality of her pedigree. I am familiar with the deeper female family since it springs from good old Northwest racing roots. I saw many of the family members run years ago at Longacres, and in fact raced against some with my own runners. There is good regional quality farther back, but not too much lately.
Is she a good physical specimen?
