Since the Blood-Horse and True Nicks are business partners it seems a bit self-serving for the magazine to promote the nicksters work.

Remember the old days when the TB press reported the news but didnt exploit it for monetary gain?

Considering the BH has ceased publishing it's Stakes Winners Annual (which really was helpful to breeders), while engaging in this blatant commercialism, I have cancelled my subscription. They won't care but it makes me feel good.

I meant to ask you for links to the horses you have in the upcoming yearlings sales.

In the list of mares that were in the November Sale in 2008 that were by the Emerging sires, the very first mare listed is Dance Tune. At the time (2008) she was carrying an A++ rated foal by Lawyer Ron. This foal is now known as Ravelo's Boy who ran in the Belmont Stakes this year and was just stakes placed at his latest start.

brogers,

Now that you're posting again, take a look at the General section. I'd like to hear your thoughts on the thread relating to the Fallacies of Nicking.

You're the man in the know---I'm curious about how you respond to a head-on assault.

TY

Apparently, brogers, you've recovered enough to post in PAULICK REPORT a few hours ago: why won't you respond point-by-point to Don Engel's expose on nicking?

Can't blame it on the weather forever, you know.

I expect Mineshaft to develop into an effective broodmare sire. He has an excellent female family, his mother producing five stakes winners from five runners. At the age of four he won 4 graded stakes including 4 grade one. He is getting high class runners in his own right whose average winning distance is about 7.5 furlongs. There is nothing but quality in his pedigree.

Do you guy ever think that "suave" will be a great broadmare sire? I know he didn't make out to be a great sire but he does come from a great female line.
