Mating Analysis-Good choice or not?

Postby Camish » Thu Feb 17, 2005 4:57 am

My mare, President Patty, is currently booked to K. O. Punch. The resulting foal will be inbred Raise a Native 4x4 and Native Dancer 4x5x5. What does everyone think? Did I make a good choice or not? Thanks!

Did you use the inbreeding as the preferred criteria for choosing K O Punch? If the inbreeding was only incidental, then what criteria did you use for your selection?

Camish, hopefully you are breeding to race, so the conformation should be foremost in your mind along with the racing styles of the two families. If you are breeding to sell I don't think KO will pack any Punch....

Thanks for the advice.

To Linda~
The inbreeding wasn't really a factor, but one of his stakes winners is inbred Raise a Native 4x4 also, so it helped in that matter. I just really liked how his body type fit with hers, they complement each other well. :)
