Afleet Alex's lifetime average is $71,000 for yearlings sold.
The only other time he was bred to a fortunate Prospect mare the foal sold for $95,000.
His price you said under $15k, his ability to sire decent horse with the class to run in the classic races, the fact he is a Mr P line stallion that leaves (statistically) the foal with a chance of winning ther Ky Derby.
Foal is rated an A++ nick on Truenicks with 16% SW from starters.
Foal is bred on the same cross as G1 winning and new stallion Afleet Express, winner of the Travers 2010.
Your mare produced stakes runner Ford Island by Thunder Gulch and the female family of your mare likes Mr Prospector line blood.
Your mare and her dam produce runners who stick around and run a lot of races, so does Afleet Alex.

You said Brenda D S was an established mare and wanted to go to something good with her.
Proud Citizen is another at $15k ( who has two Ky Oaks winners)
His sales average is liss at about $50k.
Eskenderwho? has sired nothing he has a 1 in 8 chance of being a successful sire are they odds you like?
He is a northern dancer line stallion for who only Boundary sired a KY Derby winner.
I know I keep going on about the Derby, but isn't that the dream?
Shouldn't breeders be aiming at this race and using stats and pedigree to aim their matings at?
Stats and pedigree say to go to Mr P and Raise a Native lines.

Yes I get that but I am not breeding to race the foal (or at least hoping I don't have to). The goal is to get her in foal to something that will have good commercial appeal. That is why I mentioned Eskendereya. High sales figures. I do appreciate your insight as it forces me to think differently and learn.
Ok Dublino, you may have found something here. Take a look at this.

Proud Citizen was bred to a Fortunate Prospect mare who produced Mark Valeski, won 430K.

Worst case sceanario your foal gets injured and misses the yearling sales.
Your left with either getting it to the 2 yr old sales or racing it.
I'd be more worried about getting a runner than what the sales average is.
Going with a proven sire and proven cross and then hoping for the best at the yearling sales.
