My fourth mare bred to MUNNINGS this year came up pregnant today. The same mare (FREEDOM OF SPEECH, by Danzig) conceived in mid-February on her first cover, but absorbed it around 30 days. One trip back to Ashford and she caught again. I love breeding to this horse because he is so sure with his mares.

Since you're looking at selling an Ontario-bred, you might look at horses who sire both good dirt and good synth runners. Ideally the foal would run at Woodbine or Fort Erie, to maximize your breeder awards, meaning synth.

Twirling Candy might work.

Just to let you know, Scat Daddy seasons (if available) are selling for 50K.

He also hasn't been his listed fee for months.

You beat me to it! :D

I didn't get the sense the seasons were overly available.

If you are happy with your Old Forester then maybe consider going back to him. At least you have the Ontario Sired advantages without having the extra costs of shipping to KY.

If however you are worried about the Ontario breeding and sales industry then I see your point about breeding to a KY stallion. At least you have the option of selling in KY if things continue to fall apart here as they seem to be doing. The loss of the slots has me very worried for our future.

My guess is that City Zip might also be fully booked but it might be worth looking into.

Good Luck

She's going to Haynesfield tomorrow am. City Zip was a great suggestion but alas he was full.
