I agree. For $7 to $10K you could get a heckuva nice mare at the winter sales, in foal fee paid, take her home and get the foal in the state bred program.
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....

3nutmeg,

In my opinion, don't let the crowd here dissuade you from purchasing Calce Clunes and using her to get a nice race winning/ stakes winning foal out of her. Breeding her to a horse like Lite The Fuse would give you a good chance of that. If you boarded her at home, it would cost you a lot less than 7 or 10 thousand $$ to get a foal on the ground.

When people who make money by selling mares in foal, rather than money from race wins are telling you that you should pay 15K for a mare in foal instead, and that the mare you are interested in is a pretty sport horse prospect, take it with a block of salt, watch your back-side.

Jeff

PS Where's she located? With all that Roi Herod over Sundridge in the bottom of her pedigree, I just might be interested in shipping here to California for me! :D

Here's 3 good reason's why Calce Clunes should go to Lite The Fuse,

Buckaroo likes Explodent

Buckaroo likes Prince John

Buckaroo like Raise A Native

Calce Clunes is flush for a cross with Lite The Fuse.

If her new owners ever sell her, I'd sure be interested. Please private message me if you find out she comes up for sale again.

Female family's gone the Buckpasser route 2 times, just remember, third time's a charm.:D

Best Regards
Jeff
