Heading for Nebraska this weekend

I have decided to take Mistress Donna (Vigors oo Hayseed Honey) to Blumin Affair. I'm really high on this horse and he is not too far away. I'll be hauling her up to Nebraska this weekend. I'm crossing my fingers she gets in foal, stays that way, and has a nice, healthy colt.
By the way, anyone on this board from Kansas? If so, is highway 75 through Kansas a two or four lane highway?

Blumin Affair is super nice. Good choice. Probably one of the better stallions in out area.

Congratulations, I'm from Nebraska originally, now i'm an in exile across the river in Iowa. I think i recall Blumin Affair winning the Kentucky Derby or one of the triple crown races back in the 80s. There's another horse in that area making headlines called Lytrump. Did you check that one out??
I know your going to Roger Pelster's place, but did you check out Herb Riecken's stallion Lytrump??

I didn't see Lytrump but did see Dazzling Falls while I was there, a nice athletic looking horse. Roger called yesterday to say my mare Mistress Donna was checked in foal on one cover. MD is an '83 model. Atta girl (and boy!).
I'm in OK, can you suggest anyone that hauls horses from there to here? Seems it is the end of the earth in the equine transport world.
Congratulation!!!

I was thinking Dazzling Falls went from Rockin River Ranch in Winterset, Iowa to Kentucky. Didn't know he'd made the trip westward again!!
I don't know of any commercialized carriers in the area no more since Ak-Sar-Ben closed, but I've seriously thought about doing it myself. If i could get a horse going both ways i'd do it, as i have a decent horse trailer. Actually thought that Okie racing was all but dead too. I know a breeder down there with a stallion by Silver Ghost thats divesting of his stock because he says it don't pay to race in Okie land no more.
Course Oklahoma is not from from Texas and Arkansas either where the racing is good.

I've seen some super nice Dazzling Falls babies. As for Okie racing, I'm not so optimistic anymore. It appears we are getting ready for another round of fights between the TB and QH factions. Blue Ribbon Downs is rumored to be cutting dates again next year. I wish this state could figure things out, but I will be foaling my better mares out of state next year.

When Ak-Sar-Ben closed down i would have welcomed Quarter Horse or any other breed of horse racing alongside the TB meet. I don't know why the QH and TB factions can't get along. To see horse racing die out in any state bothers me. Remington used to be a first class facility as i've heard. To keep "my " track alive i would have welcomed casino style gaming as well, but the religious factions here have strong ties and influences in the politics. They more than considered it a minor victory against the "evils of gambling" by shutting down the horse racing.
Gourami is another gorgeous stallion Roger used to keep there near Ashland, Nebraska. I'm no expert on pedigrees but "the fish" could run. Did you go to Grand Island or Ashland? I was thinking Dazzling Falls might be at stud in Grand Island.

I believe Dazzling Falls is in Grand Island at least that's the last place I remember seeing him standing. In OK the QH and TB factions just can't agree on a mutually beneficial solution to racing dates, etc. Its all one way or nothing. Talk is (and this is all rumor) that Blue Ribbon Downs will cut their early meet and only run from August to Nov and Remington wants the BRD meet to be QH only with Remington dropping their QH meet I suppose (they've wanted that for a while).

Dazzling Falls is at Roger's place in Mead, NE at least he was there last month when I was there.
