I was wondering what one would think of breeding Lady Wrong Song to Stanislavsky?
I want to breed to a good racehorse but I am looking for a stallion I can afford with a possible upside
4x4x5 Northern Dancer
5x5 Bold Ruler
4x5 Special
5x6 Somethingroyal
Keith
What about crossing Stanislavsky with Lady Wrong Song?

GOLDMINERS GOLD
Hey Keith:
What about Goldminers Gold? Gets you ND 4x4, Raise A Native 4x5, Bold Ruler 5x6 and Somethingroyal 6x6. Additionally it gets you 6 strains of Mahmoud which I love. I presume from your post you intend to race the foal? It may take some of the unknown out of a new stallion although Stan. certainly appears to be the MAN.

I have a nice filly by a son of Crafty Prospector
I have a filly out of her this year by Tri Line a son of Crafty Prospector. She is a very good looking filly. Goldminers Gold has had small foal crops but I think he would be a good cross with my mare White Wedding who is by Siphon-Miss Diana A by Cormorant. Goldminers Gold's stakes winner is out of a Cormorant mare. As far as Lady Wrong Song I would like a decent stallion with Mr. Prospector, Nureyev, and Secretariat bloodlines. I would like to breed to a son of Gone West or Storm Cat.

Prince Nureyev
Keith:
There's an old stallion that stands in Tenn for $750.00, Prince Nureyev. My understanding is that he broke down under the care of D. Wayne Lucas. Sure has your Nureyev wishes covered.

Pleasant Tap would be an interesting cross
I would like to breed my Siphon mare to a stallion withseveral crosses to Lady Josephine. I have thought about Sundance Ridge who has crossed well with Stage Door Johnny bloodlines. My Siphon mares 2nd dam is by Prince John.

Why Lady Josephine for Lady Wrong Song? These non sequitors make no sense to me...
Also, why would you breed to a stallion even I haven't heard of in my entire life...?
BTW, I checked and the GRASP score of Sundance Ridge is a desultory 27, the score of:
A. Relatively Minor (or foreign) Sires Who Don't Have Runners Yet.
and...
B. Established Stallions so utterly without value that they're not even worth the trouble of George Smith cranking up the GRASP MACHINA.

Sundance Ridge has not been bred to good mares and has had some decent runners considering his best runners are out of mares by Southern Sultan and Bert B. Don as broodmare sires. Look at the list of broodmare sires of the horses by Sundance Ridge and he has never really been bred to quality mares. I give a stallion credit wh has been bred to nothing mares and gets some decent runners. He has sired
1. Sunlit Ridge winner of 16 races $347,780 Rockingham Parks Oaks, Boston Common S., etc.
2. Stylish Sultan winner of 13 races $309,340 Mass Thoroughbred Cap Ernie Lowe Stallion Stakes
3. African Princess winner of 6 races $162,810 Episode S., Mystery Jet S., etc.
4. Dr. Desai winner of $85,770 Mystery Jet S., etc.
5. Stylish Sultana winner of African Prince S.
6. Strongestsovereign winner of Norman Hall S.
I know some of his horses have run in Mass bred stakes but I think he has done well for the quality of mares that he has been bred to and the number of very small crops he has had he is not a bad stallion.

If the stallion owner is paying for the mare care and foaling, that is a good time to give a cheap horse a chance... but with mare care and foaling exceeding the stud fee of a relatively inexpensive good quality stallion/racehorse, where you could even expect to sell the offspring and get back a little money, I don't see the business case for that....
So Run for the Roses, as fast as you can.....
Who should I breed my mares to if I had the money
Stallions I do like that are unproven are
1. Congaree
2. Flame Thrower
3. Pure Prize
4. Sky Mesa
5. Full Mandate
6. Snuck In
7. Johar
Snuck In is a nice looking stallion with not the most fashionable of pedigrees but he was a good runner as well as a good looking individual and he offers value at $3500. If I had my choice and the money I would breed Lady Wrong Song and White Wedding to Pure Prize. Johar is a very nice horse but $20,000 is out of my price range. Full Mandate offers lots of pedigree for the money but he is not a graded stakes horse but he does offer lots of pedigree. Sundance Ridge was not a good runner and I would not breed Lady Wrong Song to him. Sadlers Wells likes line breeding Rough Shod II, Lalun, and Special. El Prado line breeds Rough Shod II through Lear Fan who is out of a Lt. Stevens mare and Thong the 3rd dam of Sadlers Wells. Best To Be King was a nice buy at $2500 and he would have been a nice horse to breed to Lady Wrong Song. I am breeding to race rather than sell. I wish I could afford high dollar stallions.
White Wedding with Sundance Ridge
5x5 Nasrullah
5x5 Royal Charger
6x7 Boudoir
7x7 Lady Juror
7x8x8x9 Lady Josephine
6x6x7x7 Mumtaz Begum
6x6 Count Fleet
6x6 Case Ace
Lady Wrong Song with Pure Prize
4x4x5 Northern Dancer
5x5 Bold Ruler
5x5 Raise a Native
5x6 Somethingroyal
