I would like to know anyone's thoughts on the TB stallion Sandpit and his offspring. Thanks so much!

Don't really know anything about that stallion other than he sired one of my favorite old timers, Johnny Hollywood. If there are any others like him then I love the stallion.

As a Godolphin-line sire who did NOT trace back to Man o'War, Sandpit (BRZ) was a spectacular rarity when he stood in Kentucky (Vinery to 2001 and Spendthrift in 2003).

The only son I've found who became a sire was Brazi, whose only registered offspring is a 2008 3-year-old colt named Gold Sand: http://www.pedigreequery.com/gold+sand4.

Ok, Good to know. I have this mare SANDY'S SHREW who looks to have a decent damline.

This mare has EIGHT champions in her 1st 3 generations. IMSODEAR had another GSW (G3) which is the dam of MARIAH'S STORM(724K) which is dam of GIANT'S CAUSEWAY! GIANT'S CAUSEWAY was a Great racehorse(European Horse of the Year), Champion 3yo colt in ENG & IRE and a high-end, world class sire. QUEST STAR(MGSW $937,849) is also from that family. Both are under Sandy's 3rd dam(and =AIR ZION, SW in JPN, & others). 10 stakes horses under 2nd dam. 1st is full to GSW of $261K

So I was kind of wondering about Sandpit.

And Dearly Precious was no slouch either. I remember Turf & Sport Digest voting her champion two-year-old filly way back when. That's a very nice mare you have!

Take a look at a hypo with Theatrical (or one of his sons) for an interesting hypo mating.
