Langfuhr got his 25th stakes winner yesterday when Interpatation captured the G3 Palm Beach stakes. An incredible number for such a young stallion. On the same day Engineered, another Langfuhr, placed in the Hot Springs stakes at Oaklawn.

I've always thought Langfuhr was an under-rated stallion. I probably wouldn't want to take something of his to the sales, but if I was breeding to race, I'd find him very interesting. Aside from his produce record, he's a wonderful looking horse.

I breed to race and agree.....Langfuhr doesnt seem to be a commercial success, primarily, I think, because his foals tend to be late bloomers like he was. He just got better as he got older. The exception is Imperial Gesture who was a G1 winner (second in the BC) from his frist crop...but he has not gotten another big 2 y/o ,yet....
That being said....I have a really exceptional yearling Langfuhr filly right now. I saw him at Vinery when he was back there and had to breed to him. He is impressive with a great disposition and a big, wide brick-shithouse body. You could drive a convertible between his front legs . Of course i got to him for 12,5 back then... He seems to provide that Danzig/ ND , big chested, low-to-the-ground quality and his runners are, by and large, sound and stay sound. If you look on the Lanes End web site you'll see that his progeny are winning at 4 and 5.
In addition to the 25 stakes winners, he just missed in a photo with Engineered 2 races back at Oaklawn , and Sister Star at Tampa in a G2 last week.
