Starquine Stallion Auction Results???

Postby jellac » Thu Mar 31, 2005 10:16 pm

Anyone - did you catch the closing bids for the stallion seasons just auctioned on Starquine? Is there anywhere those results can be found?

I'm curious to know how the proven Stakes producers in that lineup fared. Private Terms, With Approval, Skip Away, to name a few. Had to work late Tuesday evening into Wednesday and missed the closing bids but late Monday night/early Tuesday am, last time I checked, it looked like some real reasonable deals might be had for the breed to race breeder...wondering how many fierce bidders came out of the woodwork towards the close - if any????

Curious - Do the results from such "public" on-line auctions get included in a stallion's 'auction stats?

I got a Skip Away breeding (not this time round, the last auction)(Alway's punctual is visiting him as we speak )and it was honored, so don't worry folks it is not a hoax. Excellent way to get really good studs for very reasonable :)

We've hosted our ITOBA Stallion Seasons Auction via Starquine for the past few years. At the close of the auction, they get all of their information together and a day or so later, they send all the winning bid info. to us. It's never been posted, just compiled and sent to whoever is in charge of each auction. But, as StealingKat said, it's no hoax... it's just the way their program is set up. When the auction closes, the bids go into their "cyber vault" and that information doesn't appear on the screen.
