Hopefully their connections won't be too bummed in their runners - they are in the money afterall! Looks like most, if not all of the Invasors are not going to be 2 year old winners. Hopefully those breeding to him from here on out won't be discouraged as well. It will be really interesting to see how these horses develop in their three year old campaigns. If they follow after Invasor they will continue to develop and only get better as they get older.

Cheechako second by a neck

Postby Brigitte » Sun Nov 06, 2011 7:51 pm

Clh, you are right on. I'd guess that those considering breeding to him will be very discouraged if none of his 3 year olds win stakes and that breeders of stakes winning mares want to see graded stakes winners.

Cheechako "launched a sweeping move five wide, finished willingly but was unable to reach the winner" - missed by a neck. So she likes Churchill, looks like a future winner. This was at only 7f. Mary Lou Whitney Stables are probably encouraged for next year. I doubt that Haras Aquila is ready to give up on Holy Invader, and Princess Kiha will be back. But only the first two are likely to aim for big races that would boost Invasor as a stallion.

So far Invasor has 15 runners, 3 winners. There are 8 more in training in the USA, unraced. There are 3 in Uruguay. That's 26 out of 58 two year olds. I didn't find the remaining 22. Not a lot of lottery tickets!

As you say, the Invasors will only get better with time for their lucky owners. Invasor himself is a big hero in South America and his sire made his mark there and here, too. So, worst case, Invasor will have to re-invade the US.

I'm learning a lot and having fun following the sons and daughters of my favorite around the world. I really, really enjoy finding out what it's like to have a mare and then her foal. How many besides Vader inherited Invasor's temperament?

Thanks - that's the list I started with. All the racing info I found on Equibase and Timeform and the French equivalent, plus info for the 3 Invasors exported to Uruguay are in a previous post on this site.

That left 22 unaccounted for. I suspect the ones with Arabic names are in Dubai or Saudi Arabia. They may show up racing in Dubai. I saw the English words "Invasor" & "Kentucky Koin" embedded in the Japanese at a Japanese site, and a reference to Ivinna in Peru....

Japanese reports on Russian racing, I think

Postby Brigitte » Mon Nov 07, 2011 11:57 pm

After my last post I went back to the Japanese site and tried Google Translate. Here is the site:
http://k.hatena.ne.jp/keywordblog/Invasor

Looking at the hilarious translation I think Kentucky Koin by Invasor was second in a Maiden race in Kazan, Russia in June. What do you think?

Kazan on Friday was at such special. Always check the site that day but the result of neglect Moscow, Kazan why results are updated in near real time. I'll accept the results I come up with another idea in about 10 minutes from time.
6 / 3 Kazan
Now that we have many interesting and Racemeeting No.6 was held on Friday, in order to introduce first whether there was any race. Russian I like that name is given in a separate race, the race was the only number I have not even given a Listed.
No.22 2 years 1000m Maiden 25000 rubles
2000m Conditions Race 35000 Russian rubles No.24 produced over three years
No.25 4 years old 2000m 35000 rubles
1800m Conditons Race 30000 rubles No.27 3-year-old colt
Numbers are flying across the Thoroughbred was doing it to either jump or was doing a race other than race. The time is also felt such race.
No.22 - Lemon Shot
Here, Lemon Drop Kid to win the frame production. Before running the Lemon Love Kid was 2nd in Kazan Debut S. The second race and first victory. A nice pedigree of Lemon Drop Kid × Soviet Star × Raja Baba × Close Control. In Russia this year's winner heads up now that the three horses already 2 years old Lemon Drop Kid. Really it's what I have.
The 2nd is Invasor Koin Kentucky produced pieces. Again Aktay KSK g.Kazan where Arima has the form of a one-two.
The piece contains three pieces are produced Mineshaft, the top horses from North America. After the lowest end in Storm Rach horse from Russia. Entries were then produced a piece of Friend's Lake Fobos scratch has.

Bodembender's Race & French race reporting

Postby Brigitte » Tue Nov 08, 2011 7:19 pm

He was 5th of 16 on "heavy" turf (worse than soft). The good news is that he was closer to the winner than when second on good turf. Also, only the first five get a check and he earned 1400 Euros.

I really hoped he'd win this year, I've come to like him, he's so consistent and he's knocking on the door.

In case you look at the French results they have less info than ours. There are no speed figs and no fractions. The comments on the race take a long time to come up, if there are any. Also, not all runners are "classified", for those who aren't classified their position on the record is zero (0p). It's always horses at the back, presumably no hopers. Race conditions often specify that entrants must have been classified in their last X races. Bodembender and Golf Juan have always been classified. So I wondered how Golf Juan could be classified and lose by 30. Well, last time I looked to see if he was running again the comments were up. His said he was in contention but had nothing left at the end.

Kentucky Koin in Russian Studbook

Postby Brigitte » Sat Nov 12, 2011 7:26 pm

He raced twice in Kazan. Got second in a maiden race and earned 6,200 rubles, then ran in a stakes worth a million rubles against winners. Second place would have been worth 250,000 rubles so it was a jump in class. He was 7th, behind the winner by 7 1/2 lengths plus a head. Horses 1-5 got a check.

Here he is:

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ru&u= http://hippodrom.ru/modules/horses/hors ... e_id=13946

Expression was bumped at the start, ran 3 wide, got up to 4th of 12.

Vader races Sunday, Princess Kiha tomorrow

Postby Brigitte » Thu Nov 24, 2011 9:56 am

Princess Kiha goes for a turf mile Nov 27 at GG Fields

Midnight Vader is in an allowance dirt mile Nov 29 at Mountaineer

Good Luck clh! Sending good vibes!

There are unraced Invasors that are gearing up. Kollos was entered at Hawthorne but scratched (Stewards).

Photon ran again after time off and was 5th again - but it's better than it sounds. It was a 1 1/16 miler and, to quote the caller "Photon has had a brutal trip, 4 wide all the way". He said that as Photon, in the first flight, was starting his move at the 3/4 pole, got to 3d and faded to 5th. Due for some luck?

Vader came in 4th last night at Mountaineer in the slop. He likes to come off the pace but the jockey took him to the front out of the gate. He got bumped in the stretch and I think that bothered him somewhat but it certainly did not cost him the race. Midnight Legacy came from behind to win it (he was a longshot). It was good experience for Vader and he came out of the race well.

So that's why he was 2nd! The pacesetter, 2nd betting choice, a front runner at Mountaineer. Jock would have known that, didn't want Vader too far back? The winner throws clunkers regularly, sometimes he's good.

Next year Vader will have the strength and endurance to press the pace and keep going or come fast from behind. At Vader's age Invasor hadn't even raced. The 3 Invasors in Uruguay haven't raced. Furia de Invasor is stablemate to Fly Lexis Fly who was stellar at two, won a Classic, and may come to the US to try for the KD. Big, big difference but it's early in their careers.

Princess Kiha got her third second. She surged to the front in the stretch but the winner, who had been blocked, flew by at the end. A cartoon balloon over Kiha's head would probably have said HUUUUH?

Tomorrow I'll post a new list. New runners may get a race in this year: Al Aqsa and Galilee in Fla, Gagne in Ky, Montford Park and Invasion are working at Saratoga. Or maybe they're prepping for next year.

Here's to fireworks next year!

Found 2 more

Postby Brigitte » Sat Dec 03, 2011 9:19 pm

You're welcome! I'm learning a lot and I really enjoy hearing about owning a race horse like Vader. When I was kid all I wanted was a horse.

I found two more 2 yo Invasor fillies, they are in France, unraced but in training, and belong to Hamdan al Maktoum.
