What do ya'll think of Wilburn? He's a very large individual at 17H+

Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.

overall I think he is pretty well balanced. Longer topline on him but it works well with his frame. I've seen better front legs but I've also seen much worse! I would give him a very high grade and if he was what my client was looking for I would recommend him.

Does anyone know why he was retired so young? I can't recall if he came out of the BC Dirt Mile lame or not. I suspect he did. Stone Street usually runs their horses later than most farms.
Nice photos though. He's huge. I would think with that frame you would have to be very careful with the phenotype of the mare you might breed him to.

Doesn't do it for me. There will be many more better qualified sons of Bernardini in the pipeline. IMHO his female line is too weak, solid journeyman types, doubtful sire producing qualities though.
