Chevening

Hello,
this Sire is a rarity, but vaguely I remebered I have seen anywhere else.
With a bit research I did find him again, he appears in the ped of the the Sire Val Drake, Fam. 42, if I'm not wrong he stood in Germany, he didn't left much, but he is the sire of the 4th dam of the Germanbred Top filly
Borgia (by Acatenago) now deceased.

A second instance I see in the Ped of the Argentian Sire Requiebro, Sire of Papila, see ped of Crimson Satan.

In the case of Orion, he is in the damline of the broodmare Crape Band (by Crepello), one of the foundationmares of the Fahrhof Stud. She stand at the begin of a successful family in my homecountry, see Colon, Comprida etc.

Interestingly Orion is the Sire of Princess Sonia, damline of Danzig and Dubia (Sun Briar/Sunreigh) just as examples.

Another observation is Simena (dam of Chevening) has a FS named Simona, she is the Granddam of Havresac, damsire of Nearco and both mares are close realted with Ayrshire.

Best regards,
Bettina

The name Native Dancer and his strains cannot be considered
quite rare at all but in Japan there was a very famous lineage
enroute to become a real rarity. I am refering to Oguri Cap.
(see below)

Now a question: Do you know of any 21st century talented
descendant coming from him these days?

The name of this mare was posted under The Color Corner
but she has a very interesting atypical pedigree with several
rare stallions. See for your self:

Hello,
Marbrowell's ped is indeed unusual for contemporary thoroughbreds.
Here i see the ysecond instnce of the rare Sire Embargo, the only other damline I can think of is the one of none other Frankel.

Ruling's dam Desirade is a close relative of the Sire's Reliance/Match (by Tantieme) and Relko (by Tanerko). Another relativer is Rockky Mountain (by Tanerko), sent to AUS/NZ.

Hello,
during my researchs I stumbled over a Sire Line existing until the
20th Century, but widely unnoticed.

I'm refering to the Casterari/Cappiello branch, both strains are via the French Sire Sardanapale - Prestige - Le Pompon - Fripon - Consul - Monarque - The Emperor - Defence - Whalebone - Waxy - Eclipse.

Cappiello (by Apelle ) is the damsire of the German Sires and 3/4 relatives Birkhahn/Bürgermeister.

Casterari is to find in the peds of Le Filou, Zabeel, Detroit, Danzig, Riamo (Germany), Hard Ridden to name a few.

Regards, Bettina

FRAC DADDY’s second dam, POWER PLAY, is carrying
several rarely seen interesting talented ancestors from the old days like FAST HILARIOUS and JOHNS JOY. Another meritorious influence as a stud is SOLO LANDING.

This isn't exactly improbable, but check out the BM sire on this two-year-old!

Apropos NICE DANCER, notice that he is also present
as the 4th broodmare sire of TIZ GIANNI (grey H 2008) http://www.pedigreequery.com/tiz+gianni , a promising
late maturing horse by Giacomo who will be competing
this weekend in the Hollywood Turf Cup (1-1/2 mile).

Somehow curious ancestors. Not your average pedigree.
The photo explains why.

Here is a rare male strain coming from CHAMPAGNE CHARLIE
(a rarity in itself) carrying several atypical ancestors.
Since this sire may still be alive, who knows if his strain is still out there.

Apropos this topic, is there any recent 21st century horse carrying
a relatively close dose from the great AMBIORIX?

Seems like he is now a curious asterisk of the past, uh?
