Brigitte:
An update for you. I just remembered the name of the horse that stood 10th on the earnings list. Al Faatik has more earnings than that horse. So he will draw in if his connections decide to enter him

Looks like we have a rematch at Les Bois!
Re: Invasor [ARG]
A new Stakes placed horse for Invasor - Lady Invador.
Lady Invador was 4th in her stakes debut at Arapahoe. She tried running as a closer instead of a front runner, her previous style. Her disappointed connections then put her in a claimer, which she won handily running midpack and going 5 wide. Luckily for them she wasn't claimed because the stakes winner was disqualified and Lady Invador moved up to 3d and is officially Stakes Placed. Her connections should be patient - she's only 3 and will not be in form until next year, earliest.

Al Faatik finished 3d by 2 necks in the Les Bois Park Historical Racing Stakes at 7f. The winner set a good pace and his speed held for 7f. The presser was 2nd by a neck and Al Faatik, coming wide from 5th finished another neck back. The favorite had an off day, far back at the start, had too much to do when the speed held.

Aniar won his 4th victory at Evangeline Downs at 7f on dirt. He settled behind the pace, saved ground and wore down the leader within the last furlong.

Dheyaafa broke her maiden at 1 1/16 on turf at Ellis. She was the favorite and was 1st at every call.

Fateel finished 2nd at 1 1/16 on turf at Indiana Grand. He raced well back 5 wide, bid in early stretch and closed late but the winner got the jump on him and was already clear in the stretch.

Al Faatik Multiple Stakes Winner from 7f to 1 3/16
Al Faatik celebrated the last day of the 2015 racing season at Les Bois by winning the last race, the Au Revoir Stakes at 1 3/16. Speed has been holding at Les Bois so he ran further forward, in 3d. The front runner's speed "held tough" on the rail but Al Faatik went 3 wide and took over at the head of the stretch then battled gamely to win by a nose. The favorite was another 5 lengths back in 3d.
There were races with bigger purses. I suspect this one was chosen as a distance test. Al Faatik's last race was a stakes on July 29, so he's earned a vacation. It will be interesting to see what comes next.

Street Invader scored his 7th victory in an mile allowance at PARX. He dueled for the lead 2 wide, got it before 1/4, and won by 2 1/4. This is the 3d allowance in a row he has won.

Re: Invasor [ARG]
Brigitte; All the other TB races on the card were stakes races restricted to Idaho bred horses.
Les Bois is generally a speed favoring track, but yesterday was especially speedy.
It was a nice win for Al Faatik. He pretty much went hammer and tong with Tribal Money the entire 9 1/2 furlongs.
I took a good look last night at Al Faatik. He is a train wreck on his front end. He looks knock kneed and his ankles are huge.
All the best,
Shergar

Re: Invasor [ARG]
Thanks Shergar. Congratulations to you and your brother on Floating Feather's decisive victory in a front running style!
So Al Faatik didn't get over his leg problems. I guess he's had knock knees all his life. The huge ankles must be a red flag, yet he passes vet inspection before his races. According to Equibase Al Faatik is a stallion. Will anyone breed to him, though? Did you happen to notice if he's gelded?
Al Faatik has the heart of a champion but now I'm afraid for him.

Re: Invasor [ARG]
Twenty in One was 2nd in an AOC at Indiana at a mile. She pressed the pace in 2nd but let the front runner get away around the turn, giving her an extra 3 lengths to make up in the stretch, "then closed belatedly". I guess her jockey expected the front runner to come back to her but she lasted to win by a length.

Re: Invasor [ARG]
Brigitte; I'm far from an expert on conformation on a horse. Just appeared to me that he has knock knees. A lot of horses can run through physical issues and never be the worse for wear. Al Faatick only started once in the spring of his three year old year, then was off until March of his 4 year old year. He has 36 starts and seems to be getting better with age. A lot of work has been done to the Les Bois track and it is very easy on horses.
Equibase lists Al Faatik as still being entire. I can't imagine based on his race record that anyone would want him as a sire prospect. if he does go to stud, it would be in the hinterlands, (Idaho!) standing for $500 or so. His pedigree is slightly interesting and he is out of a G-III winning mare of over 700k.
