I really did not expect much more than what Pokeyman had to say, this is why I rarely post anything here.

hotrod, when stallions are this "close" in the running to be selected for a mare I go and see each horse in person and let the conformation matchup be my guide. You KNOW what your mare looks like, her conformation faults (if any) and what physically might have hindered her being a perfect running machine. So you might seek a stallion who will offer the opportunity to overcome those faults. If her legs are a bit short and her back is a bit long, for example, you might seek a stallion with longer legs and a shorter back.

I found it difficult to select one horse over the other since the two stallions have such similar pedigrees.

Thank you Madelyn for answering my question and not just critisizing the mare. She has not been mated very well in the past I am pensioning her after this year and want to get the BEST foal possible, being it will be her last.
