True Direction - back in the stallion business

After a few years away I am back in the stallion business. I really like my new Stallion, True Direction. Those first crop Florida stallions always do so well early that first year. The second year is a great time to breed to those stallions (It was a nice year to have a Gibson County yearling). I am bringing True Direction to New York and I hope any one who has some interest in breeding to him will contact me. Oh no why? I love him, I saw him at the stallion show last year. My thoughts on him were great. He was nicely balanced. I had 2 or 3 I had in mind before seeing him. He was on my list this year to look at. I wish you luck in New York but do you think the market is better for him up there? I only have one mare and I wouldn't want her to leave Florida. But I wish you luck with him because he is absoultley Handsome and I can't wait to see his first foals.

Good luck with him, Greg. I tried to buy him off the track at the end of his career. Perhaps you were the owner then, or beat me to the punch. I've always thought FRENCH DEPUTY was Deputy Minister's fastest son, and was prematurely sold to Japan. The bottom side of your horse is nice, too.

Do you own the farm too? I own a stakes winning ZAFONIC stallion prospect I'm pondering sending to NY.

I believe I purchased a mare from you about 10 years ago. It was a deal well done.

Good luck with him, Greg. He looked like a nice match with the market down here, especially since In Reality blood looks to be likely as being compatible for him and there's a lot of that here. Hope he does well for you in NY.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I do not own Keene Stud were he will be standing. I have a farm nearby for mare care, prep, etc. but It requires alot more staff when you have a stallion so it made financial sense to have him at a breeding farm and they do a great job.
Glad to hear he was well liked in Florida. I think starting a stud career in Florida is a boost, and then getting those NY bred purses certainly helps down the road. This is also what Lakland did with Read the footnotes. I know it is along way from Florida to New York but our truck runs every week during the breeding season and I could do a good deal on shipping to anybody who breeds to him.
I'll be at the Saratoga Sale all weekend if anybody wants to stop by we could certainly talk. Thanks again.

He's a really nice horse that could fly. I tried to buy a mare in FL last year specifically to breed to him but the mare deal didn't go thru. Good luck with the horse I wish you luck.
