Does anyone know that month and year Damascus died?
I really want to find the youngest colts by him.. Most likely the youngest is from '89.. But I wanted to know a definite.
Does anyone know any nice sport horse stallions by Damascus?
When did Damascus die??

Damascus Sons
The stallion register lists Crusader Sword (NY), Festive (TX) and Sultan's Dream (CA) as sons of Damascus still standing.
Wheelaway (NY), Hero's Tribute (KY) and Out of Place (KY) all share Damascus as their dam sire.
I'm sure there are others out there. Good Hunting!

I don't know if he is still active, but Swiss Trick is another Damascus son that may still be standing. I Googled his name and saw a stallion breeding report for 2006 which showed 2 mares were serviced.

I believe he was standing in Indiana. My wife has a 17HH, 1400 # son of Swiss Trick (named Big Swiss) that for many years has been very successful in the hunter ring. My 17 yo daughter recently won a WIHS equitation class at Las Colinas on him also.
We are also seriously considering breeding our sport horse broodmare to a Damascus son due to the great success they have had with Big Swiss. Festive is the obvious choice due to his proximity. Damascus bred horses are very popular on the TX hunter/jumper circuit.

Schembechler
I believe the correct spellng on this guy is: Schembechler. He was an unraced son of Damascus out of a stakes winning daughter of What A Pleasure with her dam sire being Dr. Fager. A who's who of some old outstanding lines. Thanks for the thread, I had no idea some of these guys are still around. Interesting to look at their pedigrees.
I agree 100% Des and BJ.We have a stallion that is5x5Nasrullah and 5x5 Royal Charger, raced 54 times--10 wins--10 seconds--5 thirds and retired sound.I guess its a miracle he still breathes by some theories.I think that thread is sooooo silly. Is this what you call obsessive behavior?I used to like reading his other posts.Marg
