Don't Get Mad to Spendthrift Farm

Any thoughts on this stallion prospect ? He was a pretty nice racehorse and comes from a very live female family. At $3000, he appears to be a bargain..

I'm a bit skeptical. Stephen Got Even has gone ice cold and DGM was a "come from behind type" void of early speed. He did have a good turn of foot when called on at the 1/4 pole so perhaps there's hope. And if polytracks are truly the future then consideration may be in order.

BUT I'd pass unless they offered two-fers or even freebies to try and get him established. $3,000 for a stud fee is still a lot of money in my world. I can breed to Wagon Limit for $2,500 and he's a proven sire.
