I was looking at the Keeneland catalog and these two studs got some hella mares. Wisemans Ferry has some nice ones also.

I noticed mares in foal to Van Nistleroy sold well also. I'm not big on high-priced yearlings, but I have a good overall impression of Van Nistleroy.

He should throw some nice foals. Charlie O'Connor is really good to work with on the stallions. He is always willing to make deals. Van Nistelrooy ought to come out of the gate in style

hi Derby2004

Try getting a "deal" on Chapel Royal (at the same farm as Van Nistelrooy).

Be assured...if you're getting a "deal" on VN...probably EVERYONE is getting a deal. Make of that what you will...but I suggest that's usually a sign that a horse is overpriced...and/or undersupported.

If you plan on breeding a horse that will be perceived as the kind that will be expected to race on the dirt in North America...I strongly suggest you consider some other options (than VN).

Respectfully

Thanks FOS. I have heard that he will sire turf horses. I have also considered Sarava, Hard Buck and Flame Thrower

hi Derby2004

Of that group...I find Flame Thrower most interesting (at least right now).

You might want to take a look also at Full Mandate (A.P. Indy) and Omega Code (Elusive Quality)...also in Florida. Two crackerjack young stallions.

I suggest both offer potentially HUGE upsides...

...but if FT makes it (which he very well may) with his first crop racing in 2005...you'll be sitting in the catbird seat.

Best to you.
