Posters and Readers,

Has anyone out there seen Spring at Last at Winstar? I'd be interested to hear specifics about his physicals, as well as his general demeanor.

Thanks for the info.

Bueller.........Bueller.........Anyone....?

Thoughts on this guy's prospects? While I'm at it - what about Lewis Michael at 3 Chimneys?

Tesio commented on Lewis Michael in response to my question earlier this week. Other than that, no one is saying much about the new stallions. :?:

Bumping this up, anyone seen this stallion? I may send a mare to him. Help would be appreciated!

He's gorgeous! I did not see him in person but asked some people about him who have and then there are some pictures over on Facebook that Rickelle took. He's built more conformationally like Badge of Silver compared to Posse or Kodiak Kowboy. He is on my short list for next year.

Look up "Deck the stalls" on facebook, you should be able to find his pictures, when I went looking for some she was nice enough to post hers there for me. it's about 3/4s of the way down the page. He looks amazingly relaxed in the pictures.

I totally spaced out when I went over to winstar... I had forgotten he was there!

Thanks Tappiano. I was hoping someone would respond. I got a very discounted season to him, nearly 1/2 his advertised fee and I cant decide between him or Zanjero. Both stallions nick well with Conga Queen. Based on looks, I think Zanjero has the edge. He's one good lookin boy.

I'm going to go be nosy and look at the hypos on both with your mare just out of curiosity :)

Ok neither jumped out at me more than the other so nothing much to say on that. I do think though that if you got a filly the SAL line would be more robust but that's just my humble opinion :D

Zanjero gives me inbreding to blushing groom. But ya, I kind of feel the same way. She's a difficult one to nick well with. Plus, I can't exactly see the stallions either. Thanks for your imput though!

It's a shame there aren't any In Reality line's out there because I would look toward that. I like Midnight Lute too....

Have you thought about Holy Bull? Put him a Blushing Groom-line mare and he throws out winners--including a champion and a Gr-1 winner. At $10k he might be out of your price range, though.

His son Flashy Bull would give linebreeding to Blushing Groom.

plus holy bulls book is light and tight due to decreasing fertility. I would look at Flashy Bull. Can get a good price probably since hes in his bubble year. Theres a lot of buzz around his babies

I am actually thinking about sending my mare to Holy Bull next year, I have to see what the terms are when I get the contract. They sent him 33 mares this year. His fertility is fine, it's just old age that's slowed him down.

For what it's worth, there was a lot of chatter at the Saratoga sale about WinStar exploring regional possibilities for Spring at Last for 2012.

He still had a decent amount of mares for his third year though so I wonder why they would not want to hang onto him for another year.
