Any opinions out there on Meadowlake? An oldie but a goodie or just an oldie?

Still probably not a bad choice for breeding to race with a mare of complementary pedigree and physical type, but I think a bit overpriced on recent results -- he hasn't sired anything of graded class in his last five or six crops. though of course the youngest couple may yet show something.

Meadowlake's average for yearlings was over $60,000 and almost $110,000 for 2 yr olds in 2004. Not too bad for a 21 yr old sire....

There is a mare on Canter, Elle's Terms, would be a very interesting match with Meadowlake....

We have Meadow Mirage...it remains to be seen how well she does.

I've been offered a mare share on him, but I'm just not sure. I saw Ellie's Term on I believe an Exceller linked site and if I wasn't having to sell everything out I would definitely be interested in her. Ugh! Dispersing is like slow torture and every other day I get a sales catalog or there's a pretty new mare on Starquine. It's driving me nuts!

Superior nicks were produce when mares by Meadowlake---Hold Your Tricks--both sired by Hold Your Peace, and Stage Door Johnny by Prince John (Prince Rose) sire line were bred to Elusive Quality (Phalaris) sire line.

Only 2% of Elusive Quality book of mares traced to the sire line of (Prince Rose) This is a positive for breeders to cash in on this Elusive Quality (Prince Rose) nick.
Those without sin cast the first stone.
