Broodmare Sires
It's been remarked in many posts about stallions that stamp their get. I would like to know about broodmare sires that seem to influence their daughters offspring. I you can just about always see Alydar in his daughters male offspring(Lure, Peintre Celeb,Grand Jewel) among the ones that you can clearly see his influence. What is the connection between a stallion's influence on his daughter's male offspring and their offspring or is there one at all? Secretariat is another where you can see his influence in the physiology of his daughter's male offspring. Gone West and Storm Cat really show the connection to him. What other stallions stamp their daughter's offspring and how?

What you are refering to is Father daughter, mother son, it is sex linked.
When you see this take place in the breeding shed, it is the way the breed of TB happens to follow.
For every above average BMS you will find he comes from a family of Blue Hens or close to it. It is this family that is responsible for his success as a BMS.
When you have stallons like Secretariat and Peintre Celebre, that stamp their offspring with their carbon copy look alike, you will find this is not the case in 3 generations down the road. As the dam side of the matings change the original Secretariat look into a different non Secretariat look.
If you were to line-breed instead of outcross you would retain the original Secretariat look. This can happen if you line-breed 2X3 or 3X3.
