Apropos this topic, is there any recent 21st century horse carrying
a relatively close dose from the great AMBIORIX?

Seems like he is now a curious asterisk of the past, uh?

This horse was born in 1999, but raced in the '00s. Ambiorix apparently was a sire into the '70's so there are a few close descendents still around. Interesting topic, Jorge!

French Seventyfive--the last known stallion w/Ambiorix sireline in North America--died last year. Ambiorix was 5 generations back, so not close. F75 sired very few foals (<45?) and unfortunately all the colts were gelded.

Thank you very much for focusing on this interesting
case. It's sadly curious that his progeny is so limited.
One has to wonder why. Certainly this a relatively
young productive sire. Why the shortage?
Thanks again.

Is this colt a viable option to save Ambiorix tail male lineage?

Note that Santa Anita Derby winner GOLDENCENTS is carrying
a very interesting dose from a highly regarded Italian Triple Crown winner, from yesteryears, namely, NICCOLO DELLARCA (Bay h 1938)
http://www.pedigreequery.com/niccolo+dellarca

This stallion lost pertinence many many years ago but here he is again.
Some sort of resurrection over here. Nice to see his name again.

Browse Goldencents female lineage.

This filly is carrying a very unusual strain coming from the 1936 Epsom Derby winner Mahmoud. Of course, this stallion is not a rare source but this curious dose of him is.

Unfortunately no. There's no record of Faraway Comet on Equineline. JC does not show Royal Bable as having a foal in 2009.

Maybe someone will import an Ambiorix sireline stallion from Europe...

Not very often you come across a dose coming from long forgotten
COCO LA TERREUR http://www.pedigreequery.com/coco+la+terreur
and his dream team pedigree, but he is right there at the pedigree of STYLE VENDOME (http://www.pedigreequery.com/style+vendome) who just won the French Two Thousands Guineas.

BACKTALK (Ch C 2007) http://www.pedigreequery.com/backtalk2

It is sort of strange, but it is rare to find the great Affirmed as a broodmare sire these days, even more unique, accompanied with the talented runner, Smarty Jones.

TRIUMPH BIO (grey H 2010) http://www.pedigreequery.com/triumph+bio

This sophomore is actully running in Japan and winning consistently.
Aside from being a son of Buckpasser's languishing branch of Silver Charm, TRIUMPH BIO's female lineage is a reunion of top class European standouts with old fashioned albeit talented achievers. Take a look.

Forgive me if this has been brought up but there are 9 pages. I just saw that Kettle Corn has Lil E. Tee for a broodmare sire. Pretty unusual to see Lil E. Tee in a pedigree.

And Kettle Corn looked very nice winning the San Diego today, although I was rooting for Paynter.
