it is so unlikely a scenario that I read the abbreviations above as "southwestern/Spanish" mares...as in, "ok, so he's a QH stallion in Texas/Mexico . . .

If he stamps himself on his progeny they would be valuable as parade horses. As race horses they wouldn't be worth a quarter.
