Incentive for Temple City

Postby Derby2004 » Sun Jan 02, 2011 6:45 pm

B Wayne Hughes has a pretty exciting incentive for owners to breed to his new stallion, Temple City. Breed to him, your mare gets in foal, you pay the 5k fee in 2012 and you have a lifetime breeding right to him. Im not too sure about him though. By Dynaformer out of a half sister to Malibu Moon, he holds a track record at Del Mar for 12f while winning the Cougar gate to wire. He didnt do anything til he was older, not surprising considering hes a Dynaformer. Just wanted to get the forum's view on him.

Looks like a deal to me. If you have one that matches well type wise, he would be an interesting roll of the dice. Something attractive about the prospect of residual value to a breeding even if the resulting foal isn't a world beater. Odds against, but you never know. Can probably get longer runners and G2 stakes winner on AW and G1 sp on Turf. Don't think he tried the dirt
