Pedigree Query

Hi,

Was considering getting this dude and bringing to Florida. Was curious of what people thought. I was thinking of just getting a mare or two to breed him on pedigree...Forida stallions like Montbrook, Concerto and a couple others. Primary interest is to inbreed to bloodroot. This guy was a 700k winner and has not had much of a chance. Do you think one could get around 10 outside mares to him at about $1,000 and keep him at the home farm

I understand not really commercial, it's the blood I am after and he did win some races and retire sound after 31 starts. The Norhtern Jove, Graustark and Damascus blood go well with the Buckaroo in Montbrook and there are some Chapel Royal mares now that could be used

Looks like an uphill battle to me. 17 year old stallion with obscure pedigree who never produced any kind of runner. You'd have to give seasons away, and I dont know anyone who'd even take one.

Fine print says he's an EVA shedder. Can't imagine anyone wanting to take the chance of that issue with an outside mare.

Ive bred there at the farm, no problems w/EVA shedder.

I didn't know he was for sale? He is a shedder, and as long as the mares brought in, have been vaccinated, they say there is no issue. If you click on the smaller print below the small print stating he is a shedder, there is a brochure, that has good information. With that said, you would need to inform any and all potential mare owners of his status.

I have also bred there without difficulty or subsequent problems. We have 2 fabulous Grindstones on the ground this year.....
