Ah Noor, the horse who owned for 30 years the world record
for the distance of 10 furlongs on dirt. It took another mighty horse,
Spectacular Bid, to break his record by one-fifth of a second in 1980.
Hey, the record of this gray legend still stands.

By the way Noor happens to be linked to another famous gray, for he is the broodmare sire of Kentucky Derby first-place finisher, Dancer's Image. Both horses were blessed with very powerful late rushing racing styles.
