He IS doing very well... I think this is a genuine attempt to bring KY quality to NY. Or am I totally dreaming?

I don't keep up on that angle, b/c I don't care...but maybe you could explain what you mean? I really have put myself in the dark.

He's pretty borderline. He's had a pretty ordinary year, and he doesnt produce a really good yearling. I dont know what he'll stand for up there, but I would think around $10,000, and even with that, competing with Freud, that will be tough. He needed to go somewhere.

Vinery has staked a good claim in NY already with taking over Empires spot in Hudson. They know it is a short time coming for slots and purse hikes so they are getting the studs there to help breeders in NY be competitive. Spendthrift surprised me (beside with their stallion aquirization (sp?) of a few studs this year, but standing Dublin in NY.. Cheers to them. If NY cant come to KY we'll send them to NY..

I really can't wait untill his descendants get a sniff of some Mineshaft, Pulpit, Flatter or Malibu Moon blood. It will be interesting but it won't happen for a couple generations. :D
