I have a distinct impression that I had read that Relaunch is not a great source for soundness.
Is this right or wrong? I know he's almost exclusively a sprinter line, and I also have the impression that sprinters, especially short sprinters, don't hold up as long as milers or classic horses.

Relaunch is hardly a predominantly sprinting line -- see Skywalker, Waquoit, One Dreamer, With Approval, Bertrando, Tiznow & his progeny. You may be thinking more of the Valid Appeals, which tend to be more sprinter-milers.
Soundness for the Relaunch male line does not appear to be subpar compared to other sire lines, but you do have to watch for a tendency to be flat if not back at the knee.

Apropos this query, don't miss to follow-up the lineage of this sire in the future. His name is LATENCY http://www.pedigreequery.com/latency
Recently retired to stud in Argentina due to injury after a successful racing career:

Is it Relaunch in particular you are interested in? Or the In Reality line in general? I dont know where Political Force is ending up, but he has 3 crosses to In Reality if that is something you are looking for.

Seems that Relaunch is a great source for soundness, but quite specifically (and impressively) in Argentina. In the process one has to enjoy all those great maternal European and Argentinian influences.

CALCULATOR is a tail-male line descendant of Relaunch, but he doesn't owe his grey color to that stallion but rather to Alphabet Soup.
