The following quite interesting list,
shows Japan’s leading Thoroughbred sire of each year since 1924.
One detail pops-up immediately to any casual observer, namely, once a horse becomes Japan's leading sire one year, he retains that leadership for many years to come --perhaps too extendedly!
I ask to our readers: what are the reasons behind this continued pattern
in Japan? Is it that really normal elsewhere?
Most probably, the global prominence exerted by Sunday Silence in Japan is understandable and normal, but what about the reasons explaining the reiterated leadership of the rest of those less influential sires?
Thanks in advance for your participation.
