Custom for Carlos

Postby Toccet02 » Tue Mar 06, 2012 4:03 pm

I was just watching some old replays and WOW, I liked the way he runs and the way he is built...looks deep-chested and muscular, yet fluid, not choppy like some stocky horses. He's standing in LA for 3K, I believe, and I was wondering what folks here thought of him, pedigree wise and confo wise. Thanks!

He's by far the most promising stallion in LA.

Can you elaborate on why you think this?

He was a top-class sprinter, in spite of only winning a Grade 3. His trainer told me a year ago that he expected him to win G1 races but unfortunately the horse wa hurt before he could. I dont doubt for a second that he could have competed at the top level.

CFC was a superior mudder, which bodes well for his LA-bred foals.

His sire is emerging as a great sire and the Halo sire line is a terriffic cross for Northern Dancer mares. His 2nd dam is by Seattle Slew, which also presents inbreeding opportunities for all the LA mares by Leestown, etc.

My gut tells me this horse will fire.
