Why?
Other than being a 3/4 to Frankel he has no remarkable qualifications for the U.S., IMO. Other than EL PRADO, who was a champion 2yo, sons of Sadlers Wells havent fired well here. Perfect Soul is a good example. And Bullet Train was an 11 furlong stayer!
In the last few decades there havent been a lot of European imports who ran a distance of ground who have done much at stud here. How about NORTH LIGHT--an English Derby winner by DANEHILL!!!
Its a smart marketing move to capitalize on FRANKEL's buzz but history proves that these types of stallions are often nowhere to be found on the sire's list five or six years down the line.

I think you answered the "why" at the end of your post. Considering he was just a rabbit in his homeland he may be tarnished as a sire there. Yet because of the Frankel hype Bullet Train could possibly create some interest/excitement here in the states? It seems to be a smart marketing move...as you said. TJ
Another horse to avoid, like Cape Blanco, North Light & Powerscourt.
Its really an insult to the US breeders to stand these horses in Kentucky.

Ok an unsound horse who started 3 times and broke down, Red Flag.
His dam was a stakes winner ok, Graded Placed, slightly better.
Her dam nothing special. Red Flag.
Her first foal also by Northern Dancer unraced, Red Flag.
What did he stand for in his first season?
Unless you owned or had a share in this unsound horse why would you breed to it?
Will you be championing getting mares for Macleans Music??

Hard to believe, idiots trashing a graded stakes winning colt who is a 3/4 brother to a colt with 9 consecutive G-1 wins. By Saddler's Wells, the #1 stallion in the Western Hemisphere, and somehow thinking they sound 'in the know' when all they sound like is little harpies who can't afford to breed to him, so they'll trash him instead.
ALL OF US! Already know the odds of a Saddler's Wells stud doing well here, we certainly don't need some religious fanatic type's preaching to the choir.
I hope that Bullet Train does well here, and produces stakes winner upon stakes winner, the Saddler's Wells colt that lights up the board in the U.S.A.

this board is full of experts that have never touched, much less raced one.
I had one last year tell me, with great authority, my colt was unsound and should not be used for breeding because he had rearedan brought his leg down on the stall door.
I wonder what this one's qualifications are, or is.

In 1981 Danzig's first season...he stood for $20,000 and his shares sold for $80,000. This may have been due to Woody Stephens praise that Danzig was the greatest horse he ever trained. These same shares sold for 1 million in 1985, while his stud fee went to $250,000. TJ

Obviously Woody is a man you can take at his word.
