Postby Slew83 » Wed Feb 27, 2013 8:34 pm

When was his first season he stood in North America?

What distance are his offspring best suited for?

What American bloodlines with work with him best?

His first season in North America was 2012.

Maybe this will help. http://www.darleyamerica.com/pdf-genera ... ro-usa.pdf

Helpful to Lonhro's success in Australia has been his appreciation for mares by Danehill (TrueNicks A), getting grade I winner Beaded and three other stakes winners. Danehill, a prolific international sire, boasts a very American pedigree, and his combination of Danzig/His Majesty/Buckpasser will offer some encouragement to Kentucky breeders. Lonhro would seem well-suited to other Danzig-line mares, and also has a stakes winner out of a Fusaichi Pegasus (TrueNicks,SRO) mare and a group III-placed runner from a Storm Cat mare. It will certainly be interesting to see what affinities develop once Lonhro's first North American crop hits the track in 2015. - See more at: http://cs.bloodhorse.com/blogs/truenick ... AbcfC.dpuf

His offspring run between 6-8 furlongs. Mainly because he was bred to speed mares which the Australian market is geared towards.

I personally like Unbridled/Empire Maker line mare's for him here in the U.S. Best chance for his offspring to run on the dirt and get the "Triple Crown" distances.

No reason why Lonhro can't sire classic distance runners with the right mares IMHO. He has the look for it.
