Saw on the BH website that Smoke Glacken has been pensioned.

He was a great value for the breed to race crowd. Got a great percentage of starters and winners.

Wasn't going to get you the classic horse, but his get were a bunch of hard knockers that stuck around and collected checks for his connections.

I loved Smoke Glacken. His offspring could be studdish, but they ran on anything, had a greater distance range than you might have expected and if treated right many of them had long careers.
