Goldencents

Postby Cree » Tue Jun 10, 2014 3:04 pm

It has just been announced that Spendthrift will stand him next year for $12,500.

I haven't really looked at his pedigree (besides sire line), but I really like this horse. He has run in some tough races. He's been very tenacious, he's very fast, and seems to be quite sound.
I'm hoping he can get some more big wins added to his record.
Thoughts on him?

He's definitely a high class race horse, very fast. I would reallly like to see Harlan's Holiday's male line continue. H.H. died way too young.

Yes, Harlan's Holiday (and Harlan for that matter), died way too young.

Goldencents looks like he is small but muscular and compact, built like a sh*t brickhouse. I really liked his race on Saturday, he basically got thrown to the wolves, and he held his own against Palace Malice who is looking like the leading older male at this point in the year.

I like him a lot, too. The female family is a little iffy, but Into Mischief is off to an absolutely terrific start at stud -- 3 Derby starters in his first two crops, while bred to mid-market mares…pretty impressive any way you slice it.
