Re: Tapit
I doubt there are many seasons available since his syndicate will probably be breeding their own mares to him.
"A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher...You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse." C. S. Lewis

Putting aside, for a moment, the considerable amount of wealth
that this increase of fee represents, I have a question that I would
really like to read your candid answers and opinions:
What is the great advantage for him to exclude from his breeding shed
all the mares that will be excluded with such a high increase of fee?
Take for instance, champion Hansen, who was one of his best initial gets.
Hope that this increase may not end up contrary to his formidable
breeding career.

I agree Jorge. Although he will be seeing the best of the best, it would be interesting to see if this improves him more, or what? He's seen increasingly better mares over time, and does appear to be hitting his stride, hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
I don't know if there is much info on his stats as broodmare sire. I am curious to see how that will go for him. His broodmares are selling like hotcakes as well.
I do think his most intriguing offspring is Tonalist, who can run all day, thanks to his dam side. More of that to get Tapit some more classic distance routers!

I agree that Tonalist the Tank is something special. How long do we give it before he is sold to stand in a foreign country?

Re: Tapit
I think you misjudge Tonalist's owner - Robert "Shel" Evans had multiple opportunities to sell the horse for huge sums of money and turned them down. He wants to race Tonalist in 2015 and possibly in 2016. I doubt Evans would ever let this horse leave the country.
A difference of opinion is what makes horse racing and missionaries.

da hossman, that would be a relief. It's been sad recently to see so many stallions I like leaving the country.
